Senior Acoustics Consultant / Team Leader Job Description

We are looking for a seasoned and visionary Senior Acoustics Consultant to take on a leadership role within our team. Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and technical expertise across high-profile projects in areas such as architectural acoustics, noise control, and environmental acoustics.
• Lead the delivery of acoustical analyses, field measurements, and complex modeling using tools such as CATT, EASE, SoundPlan, and Cadna/A.
• Oversee project planning and execution, ensuring deliverables are of the highest quality, meet client expectations, and align with business objectives.
• Act as a trusted advisor to clients, developing and maintaining strong relationships while identifying opportunities for future collaboration and business growth.
• Mentor and support junior and mid-level consultants, fostering a culture of learning, collaboration, and excellence within the team.
• Stay ahead of industry trends and innovations, incorporating the latest advancements into project approaches and internal processes.
• Represent the company at client meetings, industry events, and conferences, positioning yourself and the organization as leaders in the field of acoustics.
• Manage budgets, resource allocation, and timelines to ensure successful project delivery while achieving financial targets.

Qualifications Required:

• A minimum of 8-10 years of professional experience in acoustical consulting, including leadership roles or senior-level project management.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Acoustics, Engineering, Architecture, Physics, or a related field with extensive knowledge of acoustics fundamentals.
• Proven expertise in acoustical modeling, analysis, and reporting, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and time management skills, with a track record of successfully leading teams and delivering projects on schedule and within budget.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
• Willingness and ability to travel as required for project demands.

Preferred:

• Professional certifications such as INCE Bd. Cert., PE, LEED, or AIA are highly desirable.
• Advanced proficiency in acoustic modeling and analysis software, as well as 3D drafting tools like AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp.
• Experience in business development, proposal writing, and client acquisition.
• A passion for mentoring and developing talent within the organization.
