Acoustics Consultant
We are seeking an experienced Acoustics Consultant with 3-5 years of professional expertise to join our dynamic team. Key Responsibilities
• Conduct advanced acoustical analyses and field testing, including sound transmission loss, reverberation time, environmental noise, and vibration measurements.
• Lead and contribute to acoustical modeling using tools such as CATT, EASE, SoundPlan, or Cadna/A, providing actionable insights for project designs.
• Prepare and deliver high-quality technical reports, presentations, and project documentation for clients and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary design teams to integrate acoustical strategies into diverse environments such as educational institutions, event spaces, residential developments, and corporate offices.
• Provide expert advice to clients, attend project meetings, and build strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure project success.
• Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulations in acoustics to maintain best practices.
• Mentor junior team members and support their development through knowledge sharing and collaboration.
Qualifications Required:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Acoustics, Engineering, Architecture, Physics, or a related field with relevant coursework in acoustics or noise control.
• 3-5 years of professional experience in acoustical consulting, architectural/industrial acoustics, or a similar discipline.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills, with a track record of meeting deadlines and budgets.
• Excellent communication skills, including experience presenting to clients and collaborating within teams.
• Willingness and ability to travel for projects, including overnight stays if required.
Preferred:
• In-depth knowledge of noise control, vibration, and digital signal processing.
• Proven proficiency in acoustical modeling and simulation tools (e.g., SoundPlan, Cadna/A, CATT, EASE).
• Experience with 3D drafting and modeling software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp.
• Certifications or progress toward certifications such as INCE Bd. Cert., LEED, AIA, or PE.
• A background in music, audio engineering, or sound design, showcasing expertise in practical applications of acoustics.
• Previous leadership experience on projects or mentoring team members.
