Senior Technology Designer (RCDD)

Location: Columbus, OH

An established consulting engineering firm is seeking a Senior Technology Designer (RCDD) to lead the planning, design and delivery of technology systems across a diverse portfolio of healthcare, higher education, commercial and retail projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced technology consultant looking to take on a leadership role while remaining heavily involved in project delivery and client engagement.

Key Responsibilities
Lead the design of low-voltage and technology systems including structured cabling, wireless, security, CCTV, DAS, AV and related infrastructure.
Develop system layouts, drawings, specifications, equipment selections and budget estimates.
Act as the primary client contact throughout the project lifecycle.
Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors and project stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
Oversee project schedules, resource planning and workload allocation within the technology team.
Conduct site visits, construction administration and design reviews.
Perform quality assurance and quality control reviews on technology designs.
Support business development activities, proposal preparation and project presentations.
Mentor junior designers and contribute to the ongoing growth and development of the team.
Requirements
Current BICSI RCDD certification.
10+ years of technology design experience within a consulting engineering environment.
Proven experience managing projects, clients and design teams.
Strong knowledge of telecommunications, security and low-voltage systems.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to lead projects independently while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
Experience using Microsoft Office and industry-standard design tools.
